Using Aloe Vera for Pimples & Dark Spots

The useful parts of Aloe Vera are the gel and latex. The gel is obtained from the cells in the center of the leaf and the latex is obtained from the cells just beneath the leaf skin.

The Aloe gel speeds wound healing by improving blood circulation around the infected area and preventing cell death around the wound. It can also resist the growth of certain types of bacteria and fungi. The Aloe latex contains chemicals that work as a laxative.

Aloe gel has been found to be effective in treating skin conditions like, psoriasis, seborrhea, dandruff, burns, acne, rashes, skin abrasions, skin injured by radiation, herpes sores and anal fissures.

Can We Apply Aloe Vera on Face Daily?

Yes. One can apply aloe vera on face daily. It has proven that regularly applying a small amount of aloe vera on the face is very helpful in combating various skin conditions, primarily acne, pimples eczema, and dark spots.

Applying aloe vera gel on your face twice everyday keeps the skin moisturised and thus eradicates the skin from blemishes, scars and all kinds of dark spots.

Here is how to use aloe vera on skin. Take one tablespoon of Aloe Vera gel, one sliced cucumber and one tablespoon of honey. Blend the sliced cucumber and add Aloe Vera gel and honey to the paste (cucumber).

Now apply this paste all over the face (upto the neck) and leave it to dry for 20 minutes. Once dry, rinse it off with lukewarm water and wash the face.

How Long Does it Take for Aloe Vera to Lighten Skin

On average, aloe vera approximately takes 1 to 3 months (30-90 days) to lighten the skin. Also the effect of aloe vera on skin lightening is dependent on the skin tone & type. The darker skin will requite longer time to get the desired results.

Aloe Vera can be taken by mouth or applied to the skin directly. Note that there are no naturally occurring foods which contain Aloe Vera (other than the plant itself), so it must be taken in natural gel form.

Also note that for people with allergies to Aloe Vera, skin reactions, mild redness, skin itching or swelling may occur.

Also, do not apply Aloe Vera directly to cuts or skin burns.
